Keven was born into a Moroccan-American family
and raised in Europe, Central Africa, the Middle
East, and the Southwestern U.S. In high school,
he spent much of his free time on the soccer field,
volleyball court or running cross-country and
track. While pursuing International Environmental
Studies at the University of the Pacific, Keven
decided to completely switch gears and become
a professional actor. In his junior year, he found
himself practically living at the theatre department.
By the end of his senior year, he was contemplating
seeking a second degree in Theatre Arts. At this
point, there was no turning back.
After graduation, Keven first landed on California’s
Central Coast at the Pacific Conservatory of the
Performing Arts where he studied, acting, movement,
voice and speech, dance, musical theatre, Shakespeare,
stage combat and even clowning. It was two years
of intensive study that only made him hunger for
more. Upon graduation, Keven moved east to attend
graduate school. He received his MFA from the
Professional Actor Training Program at Ohio University
in alliance with the Tony Award winning Cincinnati
Playhouse in the Park.
